Biblically shoes symbolise restoration and Reinstatement of status. In the ancient world, slaves often went barefoot, while free men wore shoes.
As we read the verse above, we encounter the word "shoes," which in the Bible means "to wear shoes of peace. As described in Ephesians 6:15:"However, the verse above talks of reinstatement and restoration. Given that we are working to create and promote peace within our communities, the world, and ourselves, why would we need this? Additionally, it mentions that freemen wore shoes, but slaves frequently walked barefoot.
As I read the verse above, my thoughts are reaching out to those who are under Satan's control. In this instance, Satan is the free man in a position of power, and the individuals in his grasp are his slaves. We must now act and carry out this task under the direction and strength of God in order to free these confined individuals and return them to their previous status.
When a freeman wears shoes, it indicates that he has power over the slaves; but the slaves having no shoes on their feet, it indicates that their hearts are troubled and ready to rebel; even though they are walking in obedience, they are in pain and hurt on the inside from being used & betrayed and are pleading with God for assistance.
Teaching these slaves through the word of God how to defend themselves and be freed so they can live and walk in liberty because ‘The word is a Lamp unto thy feet and a Light unto thy path,”is the only way to return them to the dignity that God gave them when they were born, and they foolishly fell into slavery.
Praying for our enemies is the only way to save ourselves from their grasp, just as Job did, and as a result, he was blessed a hundredfold .
Prayer:
Father God, please help me to avoid living a foolish life and falling into the enemy's traps. Instead, I pray that I will be wise enough to recognize when and how I am being captivated and that I will turn to you for guidance on how to free myself and bring freedom and peace into my life. I pray thai always shod my feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
In Jesus mighty name I pray.
Amen Amen and Amen
