According to the ancient fable, told in many different versions, a group of mice (or rats) had been troubled by sneak cat attacks from a cat. The mice held a meeting and decided that there was a simple way for them to receive early warning of the cat's approach. All they had to do was put a bell around the cat's neck. They were pleased with their decision till one far sighted mouse spoke up and said that the idea was fine, but,who would bell the cat?
To put it another way, it was too dangerous to bell the cat. Thus, the concept was delayed. Why do you believe they postponed their idea? Isn't it because they were afraid? As Christians, aren't we doing the same when we live in fear under tyranny and so-called power?
According to 2 Timothy 1:7-For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of Power and of Love and of a sound mind.
God has given us strength, love, and mental clarity. A person who is sane or sensible, with a clear mind that can understand, is said to have a sound mind. On the other hand, someone who lacks this quality would abuse God's power and instill terror in others, causing them to revolt, retaliate, or repress their emotions.
The mice shied away from the thought of belling the cat out of fear, but is it good for us to turn away as cowards or to face the enemy with the courage of lions?
Even though we know that the one who resides within us is stronger than the one who is in the world, will God still be happy with us if we endure evil? Why are we afraid to go ahead and face the enemy God has assured us that he will never abandon us?
Prayer:Father, I pray Since You birthed each one of us in the spirit realm before placing us in our mother's womb, may we never fear man. We all possess the same spirit that was in Jesus, so nobody in this world is more powerful than you. We are all equal in your sight, May we never attempt to control or exert dominance over those you have blessed us with. May we love and understand one another as you have done. In Jesus Name I pray
Amen, Amen, and Amen
