What does it mean to walk in integrity in the Bible?
It means your words and actions are consistent. There's no sinful or secret behavior that's kept hidden. In this way, those with integrity are “guarded” and “walk securely” – there is nothing secret or hidden that “will be found out.”
Proverbs 12:22 NKJV says Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But to those who deal truthfully are his delight.
You see the verse above from the Bible too says that the Lord hates lying lips, but when people are truthful they are his delight.
One lie can lead You to speak many lies, which will mess it up so badly for the person that when it comes out it will only bring shame upon him or her.
Joshua sent two spies to investigate the land of Jericho, but when the king of that land got the news he sent his guards to check on these spies, the spies sensing danger entered Rahab's house seeking a place to hide them entering her house would not be noticed as she was a harlot, the moment they came in she hid them on the loft under a haystack, her house was on the city walls and an easy way to escape for the spies, when the guards came and questioned she did not reveal the spies to them but redirected them through another route and the spies escaped.
Now here we see Rahab manipulating strategically to the soldiers but this was the plan of God as he had plans for Rahab's future and if we read the genealogy of Jesus we get to see Rahab's name there.
God hates lies but at times He plans and strategieses situations for his kingdom to flourish on this earth. For standing by God and discerning the right solution Rahab was blessed, we see in the above verse God says “but those who deal truthfully are His delight”
What was the truth in Rahab's act? A strategic manipulation & yet the burden that God would have released within her at that moment turned it into the benefit for the children of God (Israelites).
Prayer: Father God may we walk in Integrity before your eyes, may we not falter in our walk in lies where we bring shame upon ourselves, but may our focus be upon you and you only. In Jesus name I pray, Amen, Amen and Amen.
