Psalms 27:4 NKJV
“One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.”
I was an ordinary person with absolutely no idea of what's my identity. In the midst of people around me, i was living a life of loneliness. And a day came when the Holy Spirit encountered me & my life changed forevermore & I began walking with the Lord from the age of 7.
Even though I was brought up in a Roman Catholic family, I always felt Jesus is only in the Bible until one day, Jesus came out of the Bible & encountered me. My life is lifeless without encounters. I would cry & tell the Lord, an encounter with You, is oxygen to me & if I don’t encounter you, I will die. I was addicted to encounter God, I was a desperately passionate to receive an encounter from the Lord. Every time, I encountered God I hungered all the more.
Jesus is not a religion, His a relationship & His a God whose more than a friend, more than a family. You may be going through the worst nightmare of your life, surrounded with numerous problems & you see no reason to hope in anything, let me tell you something; I’ve been in your place & in my broken & worst condition, it was Jesus who came to my help. One encounter is enough to change your life from nothing to a great thing. David was a shepherd & the black sheep of his family. One encounter with God & from a Shepherd, David became a king. Joseph the dreamer was thrown in the pit by his brothers & sold to the Ishmaelite’s & thrown in the prison; One encounter through dreams, brought Joseph out of the prison into the palace.
In Jesus, there is hope beyond doubt & faith beyond any faithlessness. The scripture in Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV says, Call unto me & I will answer you. Have you cried out & called out to the Lord, if no, call out & He will answer you through an encounter.
PRAYER:
My Father, My Father, in the raging storm & the dark valley that I am in, I look to you for help. I tried through my works & I failed, but now I come to you & I bow my knees & surrender my life to you & I cry out by your grace; One thing I desire is an encounter from you. Encounter me in a way that from now on I will be what you want me to be, I will do what you want me to do, posses me completely Holy Spirit & use me for Your Glory, in Jesus name I pray. Amen!!!
