John 12:3 NIV Bible
Then Mary took a Pint of nard, an expensive perfume, she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
Martha had complained to Jesus about Mary not helping her with serving when he had visited their home, and Jesus had accused Martha of being concerned by too much serving. We witness Mary offering a sign of her gratitude for what Jesus had given her and her family, but as for Martha she did not stop serving and kept on serving despite what Jesus truly meant.
Thanks to Jesus' teachings, Mary unknowingly provided support to her family in ways they were unaware of, as his teachings came directly from God. Even now, we can never receive the same knowledge in churches or from pastors. Because they can only pass on whatever knowledge they possess and nothing beyond that.
Mary recognized and treasured the time Jesus spent with His Father above all else, and she did not think twice to break the costliest perfume jar to anoint Jesus' feet because she believed He deserved it. This allowed Mary to receive the lessons Jesus was teaching her.
The power of what Mary had been taught by Jesus is evident when we see that the aroma of the broken jar diffused over the area. This demonstrates the potency of insights obtained straight from God's throne room. God has been using his anointed ones to educate and expose such profound truths throughout the past four years. How many of us have received, welcomed, and dispersed its fragrance throughout the world, and how many of us have rescued our families from the enemy's onslaught, how many of us have voluntarily been willing to study so that we might help those of our families first?
Never forget that the information provided to us by God's servants is real and comes from their experien. I've put this out here, but they too spend sleepless nights getting it and facing attacks from the enemy because they are sharing what God has revealed to them. As the end of the world approaches, God is eager to welcome his children home, and the devil, aware that his own time is running out, is making every effort to do the same. It is up to us to choose who to listen to, act upon, and follow.
Prayer: Father God, may we comprehend your love and concern for us as we follow the path you have laid out for us. May we receive all that you give through your servants and spread that fragrance all over. In the powerful name of Jesus, Amen, Amen, and Amen.
