THE HEM OF HIS GARMENT - PASTOR CLEMENTINA

Matthew 9:20-22 NKJV

And suddenly a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment, For she said to herself,”If only I may touch His Garment, I shall be made well.”But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He Said, Be of good cheer, daughter your faith has made you well.”And the woman was made well from that hour.

Reading the above passage how many notice the power of faith displayed and Jesus’ compassion for those who were outcasts in society. When Jesus felt power leave his body and was confronted by the woman who confessed to touching the hem of His Garment, Jesus did not get angry but seeing her fear told her to cheer up that her  faith had healed her.

The woman would have had a revelation about the power within Jesus and being desperate for healing went forward and touched his Garment. Faith is the currency of heaven without which we cannot expect to function in spirituality.

This woman had seen Jesus heal people, she had heard Jesus preach and came to the conclusion that she was going to receive her healing through Him but how was the question ?

She knew Jesus would pass by so she would have planned, planning meant MEDITATING on how to execute it, she knew it was a risk she was taking, cause she didnt know how Jesus would react, but most important was her healing.

So when she received the REVELATION she ensured FAITH within herself, MEDITATED and built COURAGE to execute it. Now when she was doing this, what exactly was she doing? She was partaking of the Holy Communion through meditation, (communion with Jesus), she had to understand the Body of Christ through which the Power flowed that would heal her, when the time was ripe to execute her plan though fearful, yet building courage she pushed herself in the crowd and touched the Hem of Jesus’ garment, and what You think was the outcome of this experience; Her bleeding stopped, at once; imagine, her happiness, though with fear she felt the healing touch of God.

We don't need to earn it or add to it, we are already complete and now we walk in light, believing in our healing before we see it. The body of Jesus represents healing. This why we partake of bread during holy communion. Jesus died for our bodies to be well. As it is written ‘BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED.’

Prayer: Father God may we understand and realise that you shed your blood so that we would live a redeemed life and not in bondage or captivity,

May we learn to surrender ourselves to you and wait upon you and you alone for every need in our life. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen, Amen & Amen!!!
