STAYCATION - PASTOR CLEMENTINA

Staycation means to take a holiday in one’s home country rather than abroad, or at home with day trips to local attractions.

Spiritually if we ponder on this, every person needs to find themselves, it’s a base to build our spiritual knowledge and grow closer to God. It’s a time of rejuvenation and refreshing one’s self, going away from the daily routine, and the hustle bustle of one's life to return back with new vigour, strength and vitality, changing altogether into a new person.

Our God is a God of new so He will expect us to come in His presence to be taught. Something new, something more exciting and something more powerful. Even God after 6 days of creation rested on the 7th day and so he expects it from each one of us.

1 Corinthians 6:19 AMPC

Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of The Holy Spirit who lives within you, Whom you have received (as a gift) from God ?You are not your own.

The above verse clearly speaks about our body being the temple of the Holy Spirit, if the temples built of stones are given a new look every year or on festivities, then; why should we neglect our body where the Holy Spirit dwells. Our body is not our own but nor are we on our own we have someone dwelling within us and to keep Him intact and not be separated from, it is our duty to take care of ourselves.

Even Jesus says come to me all those who are tired and weary and I will give you rest. How do you expect to get that rest, not in a place of chaos, not in a place 24/7 where you have to be at a beck and call for someone, NO. You will find that rest in a secluded place away from all of this, where all around you it's quiet and peaceful. It can be going for a long walk or taking a staycation off to rejuvenate yourself and hear the voice of God speaking to you, teaching you, or just gel with Him in the beauty displayed around you or just sit and meditate upon His works, His word, etc

Billy Graham once said “nothing can calm our souls more or better prepare us for life’s challenges than time spent alone with God.”

PRAYER: Father God may i know to value what you have given me, may i learn to take time off to spend in your presence to lean on you and feel your love flowing through me, may i not be so self centered that i forget that You come before everything around, may learn to separate myself from the things of this world to become one with you in Jesus mighty name I pray. AMEN AMEN and AMEN.
