Matthew 26:38-39 NKJV
Then he said to them, My Soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with me. He went little farther and fell on His face and prayed, saying, my father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”
Do you think that God cannot understand your pain, stress, sorrow, and hurt, as well as your temptation to sin, suffering, and failures. Ofcourse he knows and understands you very well, for He came as human being to teach you all how to lead your life in love, obedience, wisdom, patience and so on.
If you want someone to comprehend your situation, what exactly are you going through?
1. They should have experienced it, or
2. Seen someone who is very close to them suffering from it. If at all they won’t understand. It doesn’t imply that we want them to suffer, We don’t desire or expect others to go through the same suffering that we went through.
Is there anyone who can understand you completely without you even saying it out loud?
Yes, Jesus is the only one who can understand your hardships and heartbreaks since He has been through them. He understands what it’s like to be harmed by someone. How would you feel if you knew you were going to die? In the Gethsemane Garden. Jesus was so deeply distressed. His soul was filled with deep grief. What did he do? He prayed to Father. He said not as I will, but as you will.
PRAYER
Dear Lord we know that so much is happening in our life that at times we don’t know what to do. Comfort us and give us your strength to overcome all the discomforts and help us to follow your footsteps. Help us to lead our lives not according to our will but according to your will. Amen.
