The idea that God loves the lost is based on the idea that God wants people to return to Him, no matter what. God's Love is said to be permanent and steadfast, and that nothing can separate people from God's love. Some say that God is indulgent in His love, and He rejoices when people return to Him.
God wants us to return no matter what, God loves whether we’re bratty or whiny, lost, searching, wayward, or unfaithful. When we are lost and return to God,God rejoices.
It's difficult to believe this when we observe how messy human connections can be. But we might get an idea of what that could be like for God by understanding how wonderful it is to find something or someone that was lost. Similar to the father in the story, God lavishes us with love.God welcomes us back and embraces us. All He wants to do is pour out His love on us.We become lost, go astray, and fail a thousand times.God simply waits for us to be visible from a distance.
"Even now, says the lord, return to me with your whole heart." God only wants to cure us and bring us back to wholeness; he doesn't care where we've been or why we got lost. All God wants is for you to return. So let's go back.With all of our hearts, even now.

Father, I come before you today to ask for your forgiveness for leaving you and forgetting the times you supported, aided, directed, and protected me in every situation. I sincerely pray that you pardon me of all my transgressions, father.
