Exodus 3: 7 - 8
"The Lord said, 'I have Indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers and I am concerned about their suffering . So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey - the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
The above passage captures a conversation between God and Moses. God tells Moses that He has heard the cries of His people who are enslaved in Egypt, sees their misery and has plans to rescue them. Imagine how dreadful was their crying and hopeless was the sighing of the children of Israel in the face of a ruthless and powerful king. Their freedom was snatched from them giving them no chance for any development. The Israelites were like victims without freedom who are not beneficiaries or participants of any progress or blessing in a nation. Egypt had become an oppressive state for every Israelite. They had forgotten what can a blessing be defined as. They were forced into oppressive backbreaking work under the regime of the merciless Pharaoh, completely captivated, devastated and have no way to escape the daily agony.
This is exactly how many Christians have been suffering 😔 day and night maybe mentally or physically, bearing all alone the pain, torture and agony, keeping a fake smile and living a life of disguise. Many have trusted men, money, influence, medical help, etc; to save them or rescue them but after all it is God who was forced to move for the children of Israel. If God who is the same yesterday, today and forever could stand for His people, why not will He stand for us ?
The Bible says in Isaiah 59 : 1 - 2 "Behold the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, nor His ear heavy, that He cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God. And your sins have hidden His face from you.
The Lord is waiting to rescue you and bless you but are you willing to forsake your older version and accept the newer version of God. Can you denounce your perverse ways, acts and speech. Can you give up your agressive, argumentative, blamable and stubborn nature, confessing and accepting that you were wrong and nobody else. Ah ! that's when the Lord will move for you and give you whatever you had wished for your much awaited blessings.
Dear friends, God is not interested to know if you were right or wrong, indeed He wants you to humble and come to Him. Give them all to Jesus for He cares for you.
Prayer - Precious Holy Spirit, create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a right spirit within me. May my life be pleasing unto you, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
