II Corinthians 10:3-6 NKJV
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Even though we live in the physical world our battles are not physical.
In other words we are physical beings but our battles are spiritual.
That's the reason when the enemy is attacking you, you will see the manifestation of the spiritual attack physically on your life.
The manifestation of the satanic attack is visible because you can see it all over you.
As it relates to your life, your destiny & everything that concerns you.
But the attack itself is spiritual.
For you to understand the visible you need to first understand the invisible.
The visible is the physical but the invisible is the spiritual.
The visible is the fruit but the invisible is the root.
And you must also understand that the spiritual world rules the physical world.
Nothing happens in the physical world without taking place in the spiritual.
If your not victorious spiritually, you cannot be victorious physically.
If you can't silence the devil spiritually, you cannot silence them physically.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal.
We don't war according to the flesh.
The spiritual battles that we are confronted with & for you to prevail, you cannot use physical weapons or physical mediums to prevail against spiritual attacks.
If we want to overcome this battles we must use spiritual weapons in God.
Your enemy is not your mother in law but the spirit that is operating behind your mother in law.
For you to overcome the spirit, you don't deal with that person because if you are dealing with that person, you are only dealing with the fruit & you are not dealing with the root.
So to prevail you must bypass te person & deal with the spirit that is operating behind the scenes.
If you are able to deal with the spirit that is operating through a person or a group of people & you silence that spirit & overpower the spirit & you prevail & triumph ovee the spirit, everything else will fall in place in the physical.
So te scripture we just read talks about pulling down strongholds.
II Corinthians 10:4 NKJV
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
Which means any weapons that your using & if it is outside of God, it is void of power & if it is void of power it means that when you use it, it will have no effect.
For the weapon to be filled with power, enveloped with power, it must be a weapon that is mighty in God.
The last part of the verse is the totality of this scripture.This is what is says te weapons provided for the believer in God is designed to pull down strongholds.
The weapons tat are available to us is designed & released so that we can pull down strongholds, that is the reason of the availability of the spiritual weapons that has been provided by God for us to pull down the deadly strongholds.
So now the question here is what is stronghold?
A stronghold is a fortress, a fortified place, a satanic citadel, a satanic garrison & a satanic defence & very difficult to attack but easy to defend.
This is what a stronghold is.
In the Greek the word stronghold is holding in hand the mind for possession.
In other words stronghold is when satan has you in his hand.
That is what is called stronghold.
It simply means satan says I got you in my hand & I'm fully in charge& fully in control of the mind in possession.
Satan before he can have you in his hand, he must take possession of your mind, your thought pattern & mind settings.
If he has not taken hold of your mind, he has no possession of you, or your destiny, your life, your mandate, ministry, your family, life, mission & assignment & no possession of the essence of your very existence.
But as long as he got hold of your mind, your thought, he has got you & he does that by bringing it into captivity.
He holds your mind. He enslaves your mind, he brings your mind into satanic bondage & how does he do that?
He does that by sending thought waves to your mind which becomes thoughts.
Your thought, your mind is the battle ground.
The Holy Spirit want to have full dominance & full control & the devil too wants to have full control & dominance over your mind.
Your thoughts controls your life, your thoughts controls your destiny & so whoever has your thoughts controls your life, your destiny.
If the Holy Spirit controls your thoughts, He controls your destiny, if the devil controls your thoughts then he controls your destiny.
And this is the deadly stronghold.
Proverbs 23:7 NKJV
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.
Which means that you are a sum total of your thoughts.
You cannot go further without your thoughts.
As far as you have gone is a result of your thought patterns & your mindsets.
Your thoughts are very very important that's why the enemies deadly stronghold is your thoughts.
If he has gotten hold of your thoughts, he has gotten hold of everything that concerns you.Your thoughts follows your destiny that's the reason what you think is extremely important.
It can either make you or break you.
When satan whispers in your mind that you are a failure & it becomes a thought that you think continuously, automatically you become a failure.
Most people that commit suicide because the enemy gets hold of their thoughts & whispers in their mind that life is not worth living.
And they begin to listen to the whispering of the enemy & then kill themselves.
If satan gets your mind, he has gotten your entire being.
Most believers have opened their mind for the enemy to influence their mind.
Negative thoughts produces negative patterns.You need to understand the power of your thoughts.
Creation is the product of thoughts.
When the idea of creating the earth came to God, He first conceived it in His thoughts before it came into being.
Which means that what you think whether it is negative or positive it can create.
It can create a beautiful paradise for you or a hell for you.
That's the reason the Bible admonishes us to meditate on the Word of God
The meditation of the Words kicks out the enemy when he speaks to you because you are loaded with the Word, you are saturated with the Word of God.
You are a container of the Word, a reservoir of the Word of God.
That is why God tod Joshua if you are going to have a good success, meditate on the word day & night
There is a success but there is a good success. A success that fades away or a success that last forever.
Joshua 1:8 NKJV
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Dont allow the enemy to take possession of your mind.
Don't allow satan to bombard your mind if you do he will make his citadel in your mind & make your mind his deadly stronghold.
Whatever you face is the battle of the mind.
If the deadly stronghold is not pulled down, you will get frustrated with life.
When satan captures your thoughts, he imprisons your thoughts.
Mental imprisonment is worst then physical imprisonment.
That is why you shouldn't allow satan to control & use your thoughts as stronghold.
That is why every satanic thoughts should be brought to the obedience of God & how do you do it?
By meditation
By quoting the scripture back to the enemy & tell the devil your a child of God & the Spirit of God has taken a hold of me.
2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV
casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Casting down imaginations which is plural & more than one.
What is the imaginations God is talking about?
Reasoning that opposes the will of God for your life, your destiny, your purpose & the counsel of God for your life.
Imagination means reasonings, theories, methodology, philosophies, any thought, that is contrary to what God has shown you.
Your bringing into captivity high system of ethics that is designed to destroy your destiny.
You must be a man or woman of the Word Prayer for you to destroy the deadly strongholds so you can bring every thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ.
You can never pray effectively without the word because the Word of God & prayer are twins.
You must be a Word warrior & a prayer warrior.
It's a deadly plague that is ravaging the Body of Christ. But today you can breakout from the yoke & captivity & breakthrough into your blessings.
